If you're not already keyed in on Memoirs of WWII, then I highly suggest clicking the YouTube button at the bottom right of this video which will take you to their YouTube channel. They're an amazing video project giving service members from WWII a place to re-tell their story. Hopefully, as the project continues to progress, we will have many of the stories from these great service members saved for a very long time.
George Mills was an infantryman with the United States Army during World War II. A Purple Heart recipient, and a former Prisoner of War, Mills now spends his time spreading the memory of World War II. He lives by a simple motto, "If you don't remember history, you can't do tomorrow's work."
