US Fires Minuteman III ICBM In Successful Test

The US Navy and Air Force teamed up to successfully carry out a test launch of the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). The unarmed Minuteman III, equipped with multiple targetable re-entry vehicles from aboard the Airborne Launch Control System was launched on Nov. 5, 2024, from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. Although the close proximity in time to the US Presidential Election, combined with wars raging across the globe, may seem like the reason for the launch... a show of force... The launch was reportedly part of a regular test scheduled to ensure the operability of the system.
