Unverified footage that we recently received allegedly showcases members of the 22nd SAS and 1 Para conducting a night time raid against insurgents in Iraq back in 2008.
There's a couple of things that stick out to me about this footage. First, the uniforms and equipment match up with the timeframe of 2008. Second, the house definitely could pass for the interior of an Iraqi house. Third, these guys are moving with a purpose. All of that said however, I have my doubts on the legitimacy of this footage too.
As someone who's seen their fair share of combat footage, there's a couple of things that make me question the validity of this video as well. While the uniforms and equipment are right, and there are no BFAs present on any of the rifles, the house they are flowing through is strangely absent of any furniture whatsoever. While we don't see any obvious signs of targetry, the lack of furniture could be an indicator that this is a live-fire shoot house.
Let us know down in the comments what you think. Is this a live fire shoot house with some 22nd SAS guys through it, or are we looking at genuine raid footage from Iraq circa 2008? We want to hear your opinions.
