Interesting cell phone video posted to TikTok and shared across various other social media platforms including Twitter and Reddit shows members of the Ukrainian armed forces adapting a 60mm mortar tube to fire 40mm grenades.
Hey, so, if someone more proficient at Spades than me can jump down in the comments section and explain this to me, that would great. I have no idea how this works. My machine gunner brain says 7.62x39 can't be fired out of a 7.62x51 barrel, but clearly we're seeing something similar happen here and my dumb grunt brain is toast trying to figure it out.
Is there some kind of stock adapter kit to do this, or did these guys invent some field expedient way to shoot MK19 ammo out of their 60mm tubes?
