Ukrainian T-64 Keeps On Tickin’

This video is unusual for Funker530, in that it starts with the main character (in this case, a Ukrainian T-64BM “Bulat”) getting shot in the face. However, that doesn’t spell the end for the tank or the crew, who simply get on with it.

The BM variant/upgrade of the venerable T-64 MBT first entered Ukrainian service in 2005. Initially mothballed after the conflict in 2014, they were brought back into service during the current war. The Bulat features a 125-millimeter smoothbore main gun (36 rounds standard, with automatic loader) and a range of 2500 meters in the daytime. While the T-64 fleet has been augmented by more modern, Western tanks, as seen in the video, the Ukrainian military can ill afford to lose a Bulat. Luckily, this particular T-64 seems to be the Toyota pickup of tanks- it just keeps on tickin’, despite the abuse.
