Video recorded by a member of a hunter-killer team armed with a Stugna-P anti-tank guided missile system shows the destruction of a Russian BMP-2 that is moving.
If there's one style of weapon system that's capable of destroying a moving BMP-2, it's the ATGM. In the past, movement is life was a pretty common saying. The idea here is that as long as your are moving, you're presenting a hard target that the enemy will struggle to hit. In Syria and Ukraine, where ATGM systems have flourished, this has proven to be a combat fallacy.
While at the end of the day it still always boils down to the individual operators skill and experience behind the ATGM, the weapon systems themselves are now becoming so advanced that shots like this are entirely possible by even the most basically of trained ATGM gunners. In Syria, we've seen dozens of shots like this one taken by guys who are completely illiterate, and that's a testament to not only the skill of those shooters, but the accuracy of these weapon systems. In Ukraine, where the levels of education and professional military training are much higher, even the average ATGM gunner can make a shot like this happen.
ATGMs and Drones are truly changing the face of warfare.
