A Ukrainian R18 drone team released a compilation video showing the engagement of nearly y a dozen Russian armored vehicles, resulting in significant damage and destruction. The target list includes: 4x Russian BMP, 1x BTR-80, 3x T-72, 1x T-80BVM, and 1x T-90A.
The R18 is a helicopter drone with eight propellers, and therefore has a significantly more lift than small consumer quadcopter devices, which means it can carry a heavier payload of more powerful munitions. It is equipped with a thermal camera, and remote controlled arms that hold and drop munitions on command. Ukraine reportedly has several hundred of the unmanned aircraft.
The munitions used were likely RKG-1600, which are essentially Soviet-era RKG-3 shaped charge anti tank grenades that have been modified with tail fins for more accurate flight. They have proven effective against heavily armored Russian tanks.
The anti armor operations shown in the video reportedly took place in Luhansk in the following locations: Kuzemivka, Novoselivske, and Volodymyrivka.
