Ukrainian Omega SOF Throws Down In Zaporizhzhia

This footage, provided by the 1st Detachment of Ukraine's Omega Special Forces Center, shows the detachment disembarking from an APC and assaulting a Russian position, taking the fight to them in professional, short order before pulling out once more. Russian soldiers are shown and the fighting happens at comparatively close range, though no one is shown killed.

Despite being one contained incident, this video shows a little of everything, from the Omega team firing and moving together, to explosions, to some mounted turret action and even firing at drones overhead. In a compilation of just a few minutes, Omega's 1st Detachment's assault manages to exhibit a wide swathe of the ground combat experience typified in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Originally founded as a counter-terror unit, Omega has found itself repurposed for fighting on (and occasionally behind) the front lines, where the teamwork and cohesion garnered from their counter-terror beginnings serves them well, as shown here.
