Ukrainian MLRS Crew Sends It Night And Day

This video, provided by Ukraine's 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, shows the crew of a Romanian APR-40 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) as they send salvos of 122-millimeter rockets, both in the night and during the day.

The APR-40 is Romania's version of the BM-21 "Grad", consisting of the same launching system mounted on a slightly different truck. The "Grad" rocket trucks are ubiquitous in former Soviet countries and Russia's allies and/or trade partners, and Russia and Ukraine both field several variations on the theme. 122-millimeter rockets are as much a hallmark of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict as drone strikes. While Ukraine probably isn't lacking BM-21 variants as opposed to other vehicles, there's also something to be said for the reduction in training/familiarization time if Romania sends systems the crews are already mostly familiar with.
