Ukrainian Leopard 2 Tank Hammers Russian Positions In Avdiivka

Drone footage from the Avdiivka front shows a Ukrainian Leopard 2 tank delivering main gun fire onto Russian positions on the Avdiivka front, north of Donetsk city.

The tank crew is clearly trained in tank gunnery as they demonstrate textbook defilade fire. The tank drives forward to where it can see the enemy (but is also exposed) and fires off a shot. The tank then quickly backs into cover so it cannot be hit by direct fire anti tank weapons.

Although the Russian troops know where the tank will expose itself again to fire, it cannot guess the timing of the exposure, rendering ATGM and other AT projectile weapons useless.

Ukraine was promised 85 of the advanced Leopard 2 tanks by Western allies, but has only received 71. Of those 71, Ukraine has only lost 13.
