Cell phone video released by a group of Ukrainian Civilians who are conducting civilian evacuation operations in contested front-line cities shows a grandmother refusing to leave her home, even in the face of imminent destruction.
I'm writing this for our audience members who are above the age of 60. I know that you all are out there, because I've seen the analytics. I don't know how many of you comment, or use that system we built, but I would love to hear your perspective on this video, and I'm sure many other members of our community would as well.
A majority of the users of Funker530 are between the ages of 20 and 40. Some of us have more life experience than others, and there are even some teenagers who use the platform from time to time. Please, for our sake, down in the comments, give us some perspective.
At 60-years-old, facing the imminent threat of an invading force and living through what essentially equates to a natural disaster every single day, would you allow yourself to be evacuated? I can only imagine the perspective of an older person willing to live through the trials of Bakhmut.
