Ukrainian FPV House to House Fighting in Orlivka

FPV footage of soldiers of Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade battling through the village of Orlivka. This hamlet, located west-north-west of Avdiivka, was reportedly captured by the Russians on March 19. Depending on the age of this footage, this might show a counterattack pushing the Russians out of the village. The few structures not reduced to rubble show signs of heavy fighting. As the camera operator and his team advance towards a large, barn-shaped building, dashing from cover to cover, a mortar round can be seen exploding to the right. The camera operator advances to the structure, which supposedly contains Russian troops and which has been struck by a rocket or tank shell. Two Ukrainian soldiers jump out of the window as the camera operator fires over their heads. The camera operator and his team pull back to cover and continue engaging enemy in the building.

The Ukrainian team takes cover inside a house, where the footage becomes confused as they continue to receive enemy fire. Eventually they sprint from their shelter, bounding towards a demolished building which appears to house Russian troops. The team advances through the rubble, and we see the camera operator toss a grenade around a corner and then squeeze off a few shots before the footage ends. No armor pictured in this video – this type of fighting shows why light infantry retains a role on the modern battlefield.
