This footage, provided by Ukraine’s 54th Mechanized Brigade, shows a Ukrainian tank crew using a captured Russian T-72B3 tank to fire on Russian positions. The B3 variant is a T-72 that has been upgraded with modern armor and offensive capabilities.
Despite sporting additional reactive armor and updated cannon, this tank is showing some serious deficiency in the quality-of-life department. There appears to be a malfunction in the cannon’s bore evacuator as every round fired floods the tank with fumes. Bore evacuation has been standard in Russian tanks for the last half-century, and, as previously mentioned, this T-72 has even been upgraded. Therefore, it appears the tank’s just malfunctioning rather than unequipped.
Unfortunately for the Russians, taking a tank-sized rip from a 125-millimeter vape cannon does nothing to slow or curb this crew’s enthusiasm as they send round after round downrange.
