Ukraine’s 28th Mechanized Brigade Defends Against Russian Attacks

This footage, provided by the Ukrainian military, shows the 28th Mechanized Brigade (abbreviated 28 OMBr) as they defend against Russian assaults near the town of Kurdyumivka, in Donetsk. Casualties are shown, and therefore viewer discretion is advised.

The Ukrainian soldiers are shown using a variety of heavy weapons, with a drone overhead being used to walk the fire in on known Russian positions. Interestingly, an SPG-9, which is typically used for anti-vehicle work, is among the indirect-firing weapons. It’s likely using fragmentation rounds. The drones are also used to drop incendiary devices. A team is then shown moving out on foot. When they encounter shelling, they are then shown heading underground.
