HPG militants of the separatist Kurdish PKK released footage showing the command detonation of an improvised explosive device against a Turkish military patrol near the Iranian border in August 2021.
The patrol appears to be multiple MRAP's supported by infantry dismounts with mines detectors. The HPG specifically point out an electronic counter measure (ECM) jammer device mounted on the lead vehicle, which is likely why the remotes detonated bomb didn't target that vehicle, which was surrounded by unprotected ground troops.
The militants are able to trigger the device on the following MRAP, which results in an impressive blast, but it also appears that the device was hidden along the roadside rather than buried under the road. So unless the IED was a sophisticated directionally-aimed, explosively-formed penetrator (EFP) it more than likely didn't result in significant injury to troops or damage to Turkish equipment beyond popped tires and mild traumatic brain injuries.
