Turkish F-4 With Sick Paintjob Raids Northern Iraq

This video, provided by the Turkish Air Force, shows a pair of F-4 Phantom II's on a night raid into Iraq, bombing presumably PKK forces. The McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II entered US service in 1960 and served admirably in the Vietnam war (including under the command of legendary pilot Robin Olds and his equally legendary moustache). In 1974, Turkey received their first F4's from the United States. Despite having been in service with various countries for over 60 years, the Phantom is still an effective and visually striking aircraft. As of 2020, Greece, Iran, South Korea and Turkey still had active F-4 squadrons, with Egypt keeping their Phantoms in reserve.
