"Trust But Verify": Russians Hit Mine In "Mine-Free" Corridor

This footage, recorded by a Ukrainian observation drone, shows a Russian BMP driving in what they believe to be a de-mined area, only to find one that got overlooked. Mondays, right?

The BMP hits the mine just before the 10 second mark, which is right around the time some Russian engineer becomes due for an ass-chewing. Joking aside, while we do not know how many personnel were in the BMP to begin with, or how many are still inside, one Russian is shown crawling or being dragged away from the BMP. His life will be forever different because someone else, whom he may never even meet, was lazy or lax on attention to detail.

If you can’t be 100 percent certain everyone has done their job in an environment where lives are on the line, assume no one has and work backward from guilty to innocent.
