Troops Cheer as A-10s Shred Taliban Position

Troops sitting in cover call down the thunder on a group of Taliban fighters who are trying to engage them in a fair gunfight. Too bad for the Taliban, there is no such thing as a fair gunfight.

If you've ever been present for an A10 gun-run, then you already know what this video is. I think just about every gun-run conducted by the A10 where the person isn't in immediate peril is pretty much exactly like this. You get to your position of cover. You wait for the JTAC or whoever is controlling CAS to start talking on the radio. Then you wait patiently.

After a few minutes of patience, in the distance you can hear the sound of an A-10 drive flying low and slow. Then, the air rips open and God himself belches at your enemies until they no longer exist. The last step in an A10 gun-run is for everyone to cheer.
