Footage continues to pour out from Afghanistan, after the Allied Forces withdraw on August 31st, 2021. A vast majority of recorded footage continues to show the world the true colors of the Taliban ideology, as men and women are being brutally beaten, kidnapped, or killed by Taliban fighters.

Although this incident in particular has not been fully disclosed, many confirmed reports and video evidence over the past few weeks have displayed actions the Taliban have taken toward Afghan citizens who had prior relations to the west. With the widespread infiltration of the Taliban, many ideologic practices similar to those which occurred in the 1990's, has been reinstated, as many woman have completely lost their civil rights. In recent news, on September 14th, 2021, thousands of Afghan citizens gathered in the city of Kandahar to protest against the Taliban decision to vacate over 3,000 families from their homes. The area being vacated specifically, is that of retired Afghan generals and retired Afghan security forces. Does this seem like forgiveness? In August, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that former foes of the Taliban would be forgiven, regardless of their participation with the western military forces. You tell me, does this seem suspicious? Of all demographics targeted, those who served in the Afghan Armed Forces are being striped of their homes, many of whom have lived in the area for over 30-years.

While the Taliban reign terror on nearly the entire country of Afghanistan, many peaceful protests conducted by the Taliban opposition have ended in deadly clashes between the two parties. In response, Taliban leaders have "vowed" to investigate any instances of deadly force or abuse from Taliban fighters, but at the same time have revoked demonstrators from conducting protests without seeking permission.
