An ANNA news GoPro mounted to a Syrian Arab Army tank witnesses the moment another tank is struck by what the narrator believes is an RPG-29.
If you've been following the Syrian Civil War for a while, you know that TOW missile systems from the Central Intelligence Agency became a massive part of the Free Syrian Army's war strategy around 2014 and 2015. That's because for a good portion of the war, the Syrian Arab Army's armor was absolutely dominating the rebel fighters in almost every battle. The only time that the FSA fighters were able to gain the upper-hand against the armor is when the tanks maneuvered inside of the cities where the rebel fighters could get top down shots against them.
In this video, you're witnessing one of those more top down shots. While it's not perfectly top down, the rocket comes from above and behind the target vehicle. On impact, there's a massive fiery explosion that entirely consumes the tank. Unfortunately for the rebel fighters, the tank quickly spots their position, turns its main gun on them, and removes them as a future threat.
