Syrian Rebels utilize a Konkurs anti-tank guided missile system to destroy an actual tank for a change. This is not how they are normally utilized.
During the on-set of the Syrian Civil War, someone in the CIA thought it would be a good idea to supply anti-tank guided missile systems to the Syrian Rebels. At first, units like the 15th Coastal Division utilized these ATGMs with great impact against the armor of the Assad Regime. Later, as their videos spread across the internet, groups inside of Syria started purchasing ATGM systems off of the black market at the cyclic rate.
As a result, the ATGM systems in Syria started seeing use as an anti-personnel weapon instead of as an anti-tank weapon system. I guess they figured a guided missile was easier to use than a sniper rifle to take out their opposition.
In this video, we see Syrian rebels using an ATGM for it's actual intended purpose. Destroying a tank.
