SVBIED Attack Against Russian Military Vehicle In Syria

An armored vehicle mounted dash cam captured the moment a suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) targeted a Russian military vehicle while conducting a joint patrol with the Turkish military in Syria's Idlib province.

Based on terrain and other indicators in the video, this appears to be footage from the July 14, 2020 SVBIED attack carried out by the jihadist group Kataib Khattab al-Shishani. They had released their own videos of the attack, complete with drone footage, but we are now seeing it from the Russian perspective.

It was initially reported that the attack resulted in three wounded Russian soldiers and several wounded Turkish troops.
