Cell phone video released by an unknown group of armed combatants in Nigeria showcases a special machine gun tactic that is rarely used. The tactic, known as the "I don't need an A-Gunner anymore", involves spinning quickly and trying to cut your a-gunner in half while he holds onto your belt of ammunition.
The tricky part about this technique is spinning quickly enough to not alert your A-Gunner that you're about to do the maneuver. In this instance, we can see the technique failing because the maneuver was not conducted with enough speed and intensity.
Generally speaking, this technique only fails in two ways. Either the A-Gunner is alerted to your spin move because you moved too slowly, as seen in this instance, or the A-Gunner accidentally twists the belt of ammunition causing a failure to feed. Skilled machine gunners in locations like Sudan and Syria are often able to pull off this special technique with ease. If this guy continues to practice, I bet he'll be able to get it right next time.
