A soldier finds himself in a nightmare situation as a close Taliban ambush gets him separated from the rest of his squad. He finds himself in a maze of unknown passages in an unfriendly village as enemy rounds rip through the air.
Luckily, he has radio contact with the main body and a trusty Afghan soldier who will either cover his back or shoot him in it. While it is easy to critique from the comfort of an anonymous internet account, the insanity of an enemy ambush makes situations like this ever possible. The cameraman likely jumped behind nearby cover as his team slipped off a drop in elevation. Within seconds you can be pinned down and several meters from your buddies and the threat of friendly fire becomes just as significant as enemy fire.
It reminds me of the cadence: Some day you'll be alone, way out there in the combat zone....
