Sheet Metal BMP Gets Smacked By Drone And Abandoned

This footage, recorded by a Ukrainian observation drone, shows a Russian BMP that's been up-armored with what appears to be sheet metal. It is hit by an FPV drone, at which point the crew bails out and is rescued by an Ural-type vehicle which arrives on-scene. This reportedly occurred Southeast of Ocheretyne at the following coordinates: 48.2341667, 37.6309562,95.

From chicken wire to sandbags, adding armor to one's armored vehicle goes back practically to the day they were introduced to the battlefield, and the "cope cages" on tanks and APC are a hallmark image of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. However, I imagine it's pretty hard to feel optimistic when this is your ride. The drone impacts at 0:34, and its burning battery pack can be seen on the ground. It's unclear whether the Ural just happened to be heading in the opposite direction or was sent specifically to rescue the BMP crew, although deliberately sending so light a vehicle into an area where enemy drones are operating seems risky for obvious reasons.
