A Russian Separatist in the Ukraine giving an interview to the media has his time in the limelight cut short as Ukrainian artillery starts landing directly behind the interview location.
Sometimes, I see videos like this and realize why Journalists are spending less and less time in warzones. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation the war correspondent community is becoming smaller and smaller all of the time. Not because they're getting killed in combat, but because it's easier to write an article titled "10 Reasons why Spongebob is Homophobic," than it is to actually get your boots on the ground next to a warfighter.
What's happening in this video is a Russian Separatist in the Ukraine is giving an interview about his situation on the ground. About halfway through the clip, an artillery round lands close to their position prompting the fighter to ready his weapon, and the journalist to get behind cover. Seconds later, another artillery shell impacts incredibly close to their location, and that concludes the interview.
