Footage released by Ukrainian forces shows the destruction of the Seim River bridge. This piece of infrastructure has been critical to Russian defensive operations in the Kursk region, as it has been heavily trafficked to bring logistics and fresh troops into the front that has opened in this region. On top of hindering the ability of the Russian military to move troops and supplies into the region, this attack also gives the Ukrainian forces a natural defensive barrier that they can utilize should they choose to hold the ground in Kursk for an extended period of time.
