After an insurgent ambush in Afghanistan, members of the 173 Airborne eliminate Taliban fighters firing on their position with a M249 machine gun and 40mm grenades.
The video begins as the unit identifies a running insurgent, and the SAW gunner begins engaging with 6-9 round bursts. The team leader then tells the grenadier to engage with 40mm. Based on the audio, the grenadier lands a direct hit on the enemy fighter's position. The celebration is short lived as some sort of enemy projectile then smashes into the mud wall being used as cover by the paratroopers.
