Body-worn camera and helicopter footage from the San Diego Police Department shows a Jul. 7, 2022 incident in which a man suspected of sexual battery pulled a knife on responding officers and led them on a foot chase before being forcefully detained.
The report indicates that police received a call that Maurice Littlejohn, 44, allegedly broke into his neighbor's house and committed sexual battery. The responding officers found Littlejohn in the area and attempted to detain him. He resists and produces a pocketknife. Police deploy a taser on Littlejohn, which initially knocks him to the ground, but he soon pulls the probes out of his body, making the device useless.
Littlejohn then led the police on a foot chase, while pulling various objects from his pocket. t one point an officer thought Littlejohn pulled out a gun, so he fired two shots, neither of which hit Littlejohn. The responding officers soon catch up to him and wrestle him into cuffs where they are able to make the arrest.
