Saboteurs Take Russian Soldier Prisoner Inside Russia

A cross border sabotage team released footage of the capture and detention of a Russian soldier inside Russia's Belgorod region. The prisoner was taken back into Ukraine to be used in a potential prisoner swap at a later time.

Two groups of Russian defectors (Freedom of Russia Legion and Russian Volunteer Corps), backed by Ukraine, have continuously carried out cross-border attacks on Russian soil. There is also a group of Polish volunteers working with them as well. The incursions are benefiting Ukraine as they are essentially opening up a front on Russian territory, which will force the Kremlin to divert equipment and manpower to their border and away from the fight inside Ukraine.
