Russians Using Tires As Armor

Footage from a Russian source shows a UAZ-452 battle bus covered in strips of old car tires as an attempt to shield the vehicle's occupants from Ukrainian fire, specifically FPV drone strikes. While any additional barrier between a blast and its target increases survivability, it's likely that the armor would be as equally as ineffective as the electronic warfare jamming device on the rear of the vehicle.
