Footage of Russian personnel testing the armor on a captured Ukrainian M-113 armored personnel carrier (APC) by hitting it with a burst of 30mm autocannon fire from a BTR-82 at a range of 100 meters. Two rounds of the three-round burst hit the APC, and one tracer can be seen passing over the top of the vehicle. The 30mm projectiles pass clean through the APC, and the dummy inside the crew compartment is hit with spall fragmentation. The results are not surprising as the M113 is a Cold War relic, designed to offer some protection from small arms fire and light fragmentation. What is sad, though also not surprising, is the amount of pride the Russians have in shooting an antiquated museum piece at point blank range.
