In what is probably the most impressive TOS1A footage recorded so far, a direct fire mission against Ukrainian positions shows the moisture in the literally vaporizing as the MLRS impacts happen at close range.
While I spent a majority of my career stationed in Hawaii, laws and limitations there greatly reduced our ability to train with explosives in a humid environment. As a result, I've never seen explosions happen like this before in person. What you're looking at is the detonation of TOS1A missiles at an incredibly close range. The heat from the explosions is causing the moisture in the air to instantly vaporize. It's also forcing that vaporized air to travel with the shockwave of the explosion, causing the explosions to be incredibly dramatic.
If you've ever seen something like this before in real life, I want to hear about it down in the comments. Combat footage, politics, and war aside, I think this is insanely cool footage.
