Russian Shot in Gunfight, Killed by Own Grenade

Footage from Bakhmut, which remains a killing ground in this conflict. A Russian soldier and a Ukrainian soldier of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade exchange small arms fire. While the Russian does take cover behind a tree, it is not a very big tree and he might have been better protected by assuming a prone position. His choices eventually catch up with him, and he takes a bullet while preparing to throw a grenade. The Russian soldier collapses, dropping the grenade, which then explodes, finishing the job.
