New footage coming from Moscow today, allegedly shows Russian police officers confiscating and searching civilian cellphones for "anti-war" or "false Russian armed forces information" at their own discretion.
This footage surfaced just two days after (March 6th, 2022) Putin signed into law, that any Russian providing "false information" across social media platforms or any media outlets, face up to 15-years imprisonment and fines up to 5 million rubles (March 4th, 2022). In addition to Putin’s suppressive attempts of the Russian citizen, many media outlets have received report that large social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok have been blocked entirely throughout many of the countries regions.
