Video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense shows an Mi-35 conducting a series of combat flight operations in an unknown part of Ukraine.
The difficult thing with footage like this is that it's very hard to discern what is real and what is simply Russian propaganda. This video shows no direct evidence of combat action being recorded, and is much in line with the type of content the American Department of Defense releases for their own combat flight operations. The key difference however is that when the United States releases combat flight operations they also generally release the gun tape as well to the defense visual information distribution service (better known as DVIDS). This gun tape often shows the gritty reality and impacts of said combat flight operations. None of that evidence is present in this Russian MoD release.
As a result, we are unable to independently verify that this is in fact combat footage being released by the Russian Ministry of Defense and not just training footage that has been repurposed as such. That said, this video was released by the MoD as combat flight operations in Ukraine recorded in October of this year.
