Footage taken from a GoPro camera mounted on the front of a Russian BTR-82A shows Russian Marines utilizing the light armored vehicle for urban combat in Mariupol.
The Russian perspective of this conflict has been sparse. So far, our best footage from their side of the war has come through the Chechen TikTok battalion, with an overwhelming majority of the actual Russian combat footage having been filtered through the lens of the Russian Ministry of Defense's sanitization lens. The reason the Russians are sanitizing so much of the footage is because the conflict itself is very unpopular to the rest of the world, and sanitizing the footage gives them the ability to control the narrative.
What you're looking at in this release is Russian Marines utilizing a BTR-82A inside of the besieged city of Mariupol. According to the MOD the Marines are engaging Azov Battalion fighters who are dug-in inside of the ruins of destroyed building in the city.
