Footage recorded by cameras mounted to the outside of a Russian attack helicopter captures the moment an unknown MANPAD barely misses the aircraft.
Every day I hop on to sort through combat footage, I find something that's just never been recorded in high definition before. At the beginning of the conflict we were watching Russian helicopters get shot down in crystal clear HD by drones. Now we're seeing MANPAD systems barely missing attack helicopters recorded by action cameras mounted to the sides of the aircraft.
For the purpose of context, this footage was released by Russian sources. It shows a Ka-52 Attack Helicopter conducting combat operations inside of Ukraine just barely dodging a missile that could have brought it in for a kinetic landing.
