Russian Civilians On Busy Street Watch Ukrainian FPV Drone Strike

This footage shows a Ukrainian drone being used to attack a Russian military vehicle on a busy street in Belgorod. It is unknown whether the drone was controlled by the official Ukrainian army, or the Belarusian or Russian Volunteer Corps, both of which being dissident factions that have historically operated in the Belgorod area.

The vehicle being attacked here is a utility truck commonly known as a Buhanka, or “loaf.” It is used for a wide range of support tasks in the Russian military, from troop movement to ammunition resupply. This piece of information is important to consider when coupled with the large number of civilians and civilian vehicles in the area- a cook-off or secondary explosion could have been much larger and more deadly to the bystanders. Despite this, at 0:29, a civilian in black is shown running toward the stricken vehicle, ostensibly to help. Other civilians are shown looking skyward for more drones, but interestingly, the actual Russian military seems rather lax about what just occurred.
