Footage from Ukraine's 53rd Mechanized Brigade shows FPV bomb drone strikes against three Russian armored vehicles near Avdiivka, a heavily contested town north of Donetsk city.
The vehicles were identified as two BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles (IFV), as well as a T-72 main battle tank. The effectiveness of the strikes cannot be determined from the video clips as no aftermath footage was provided.
Russia has been waging a weeks-long offensive to encircle and take Avdiivka. They are suffering heavily losses in manpower and combat vehicles, but are gaining ground. Analysts are suggesting Russian leadership is hoping to conquer Avdiivka for a symbolic "win" before the end of the year to show the Russian people progress is being made.
