This footage, coming from the perspective of a Russian S-60 crew, shows them taking cover from a Ukrainian-dropped cluster munition. Surprisingly, all survive, which demonstrates the luck-of-the-draw nature of shrapnel. It’s dated June 10, 2024.
The S-60 shown here is a 1950s vintage short-to-mid-range towable anti-aircraft gun. Both sides of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict make pervasive use of hardware that should be museum pieces.
