Russia Mistakenly Releases Video Showing Missile Strike On Aleppo Hospital

The Russian Ministry Of Defense just released a video intended to show the effectiveness of their Iskander-K cruise missile, but may have inadvertently just admitted to targeting a civilian hospital in Azaz, Syria in 2016.

The Russians came under criticism by the Armenians who claimed that their Russian-made Iskander missiles proved to be ineffective during the war against Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The Russian MOD apparently released the footage of their own Iskander strikes in Aleppo , Syria to prove otherwise, and unintentionally delivered evidence of their own strikes on civilians in the process.

Twitter entity @obretix, who specializes in using open source videos and photos to geolocate specific incidents in areas of conflict, quickly reported that one of the target dwellings shown in the Russian release was the Azaz National Hospital, north of Aleppo, which was struck in 2016, and resulted in the deaths of 14 civilians. At the time, the Russians denied they were the ones that hit the hospital and attempted to shift the blame on to Turkey.
