Russia released a video showing the launch of ground-based missiles toward Ukrainian targets. The stalled Russian ground forces' heavy losses and inability to take key cities has forced the Russians to carry out strikes with ranged weapon systems, such as these missiles that were initially emplaced for coastal defenses.
Open source researchers have identified the munitions as Bastion-P (P-800 Oniks / SS-N-26 STROBILE) supersonic missiles and geolocated the launch site to the far western point of the occupied Crimean peninsula, near the town of Olenevka. The intended target isn't confirmed at this time, but the missiles were fired in the general direction of Odessa.
