RPG Gunner Nearly Loses Head To Sniper

Footage shows an RPG gunner scanning for targets in the ambush area below is elevated position when a sniper round snaps in and almost takes his head off. The round, instead, hits the tip off a rock just in front of him, and his face is hit with rock and bullet fragments. Although the hit wasn't fatal, it may have caused serious injury to his eyes, but no aftermath footage is available to confirm.

The context of this footage isn't clear. The clothing, along with the geographical setting appears to be the mountainous area of eastern Afghanistan, although it may be the tribal region of Pakistan as well. The fighters shown in the video may be Taliban, but could also be the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, led by Ahmad Massoud, son of late Afghan politician Ahmad Shah Massoud. Without context from the source, these are just guesses.
