Rocket Fuel Storage Facility Hit By Russian Cruise Missile

What was initially thought to be a Russian cruise missile targeting a train car filled with Ukrainian S-300 air defense missiles, may have actually been a strike on a facility holding 1.8 thousand tons of expired solid rocket fuel. The incident has the potential to flatten the local community and negatively impact the surrounding regions should the material combust all at once.
The chemical plant has been a known risk since the end of the Cold War, as several thousand tons of rocket fuel and strategic missile stages have been stored at the site for disposal. While several thousand tons have been reduced over the years, an extremely catastrophic amount of potential explosive material remains at the facility.
