A video from early in the Syrian civil war shows the moment a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) anti tank guided missile (ATGM) obliterates a rebel T-55 tank.
The exact context of the video isn't known, but the first word in the extremely pixelated watermark appears to read Halib or "milk," a common local name for Aleppo, which may be the general physical setting of the incident.
During these early years of the war, there were literally dozens of armed rebel groups, all on different ends of the secular/religious fanatic spectrum. Loyalties often shifted, and on any given day a "moderate" rebel faction may suddenly swear allegiance to a hardline group like al Qaeda and fight under the black banner against their former allies.
