Another Russian Cold War relic is on its way to be repaired, refurbished, or stripped for parts. Though the Russians make no admissions regarding their tank losses, Ukrainian sources claim over 7,100 main battle tanks destroyed or captured, while the independent organization Oryx states that 2944 Russian tank losses have been verified through open sources. The Kremlin boasts that Russian industry can produce up to 1,500 new tanks annually, though the figure for 2023 is closer to 44. To fill this substantial gap, the rusting pride of the Red Army is taken out of storage and sent to factories to be refurbished and sent to the front.
