Portuguese Paratroopers Engage in 50 Hours of Combat Operations

Portuguese Paratroopers in the Central African Republic take part in over 50 hours of combat operations in order to quell an uprising of Islamic Extremists.


The work done by Portuguese Paratroopers and the United Nations in early 2019 to combat Islamic Extremists in the Central African Republic has gone mostly unnoticed by the world at large. In early 2019, the United Nations and Portugal deployed a sizeable force to the Central African Republic to assist in quelling an uprising of Islamic Militants bent on the destruction of the Central African Republic.


The footage above is a short clip taken during over 50 hours of combat operations was released by the Portuguese Military, and it shows Portuguese Paratroopers moving in and taking control of a militia base of operations outside of the city of Bambari.
