A member of the Philippine Special Operations Community released helmet cam footage from the fighting that took place against the Islamic State in Marawi.
Sometimes it's refreshing to watch a professional military work under fire. What you're seeing in this video was captured on a helmet mounted GoPro during the 2017 Battle of Marawi which saw the Philippine Military systematically destroying an element of the Islamic State that entrenched itself inside of the city of Marawi.
Also known as the Siege of Marawi, the fighting here began on May 23, 2017 and lasted until October. In this video, an operator who goes by the callsign of Vishnu released this footage to the public. The real showcase here isn't just the evacuation of their wounded however. Take special note of how these men move, communicate, and fight cohesively together. The barely trained Islamic Extremists made a massive mistake by picking a fight with these men. Not only did they ultimately lose this fight because they were outgunned, they lost it because the Philippine Military was simply superior to them in every single way.
