This footage, provided by an anti-Junta People’s Defense Force in Myanmar, shows their unit attacking a Myanmar military truck. An explosion rocks the right side of the truck as a PDF fighter is seen firing on the cab. This reportedly occurred in Ayardaw, in the Sagaing region.
With some notable exceptions (link NSFW), combat footage from anti-Junta fighters in Myanmar rarely shows the target, instead focusing on the fighters and their weapons for recruitment purposes. Here, we get both.
While PDF arms and equipment varies widely based on funds and availability, the movements that began with homemade shotguns and pistols have largely graduated to more conventional equipment, as evidenced by the helmet and rifle seen here. Anti-junta forces source their equipment from the black market, overseas donations, and surprisingly well-built weapons from guerilla drone and rifle factories.
